The project "Disordinary Beauty" is a digital art exploration of beauty, challenging societal norms and the role of technology in shaping our perceptions. It is made of three ongoing stages. The first one is "Beauty is Chaos". This is a glitch art NFT collection. It presents beauty in its raw and unpredictable form through glitch-erased images downloaded from Instagram depicting beauty industry influencers and turned into art. "Conversation between AI and I" is the second stage and it engages in a thought-provoking dialogue with AI about the complexities of beauty and ugliness in art and society. Finally, "art canons" question traditional ideas about beauty in the art world and encourage viewers to redefine and re-think their sense of beauty and what to expect beauty to be like in a work of art. Disordinary Beauty is a bold examination of the cultural and technological forces that shape our understanding of beauty.

"Disordinary Beauty" is a thought-provoking collection of glitch art presenting a new idea of beauty, which the artist calls "the thorn sense of beauty".
This glitch art collection challenges traditional notions of perfection and the standard of beauty presented on social media platforms like Instagram, where beauty influencers present a curated and often unrealistic version of perfection. This project embraces imperfection and presents beauty in its raw and unpredictable form by glitch-erasing the photos' original subjects and turning those images into artworks depictions of unrecognizable and unknown figures. The redemption of the atypical, the marginated, the excluded ones, those who are believed to be the "losers" just because do not fit the beauty standard of success and wealth. The artist sees beauty as a cause of chaos and disrupts the classical thought of beauty in art as harmony and equilibrium that also relates to nature, society, and the whole universe. Our culture of beauty generates social chaos, often pushing people to commit extreme acts against others and against which
themselves.
This art project re-codes beauty and all of its meanings. It challenges the societal standards of perfection and beauty. By using a glitch art technique, the artist erases portraits and selfies of Instagram influencers from the beauty and wealth industry who promote their image as a symbol of success and perfection. These influencers adhere to strict photography standards and use programmed filters to create the illusion of flawlessness. But with the use of glitch art and generative glitch script, the artist deconstructs these digital images, effectively erasing the original and creating a new sense of beauty that defies fake perfection. This glitch aesthetic represents a reclaiming of the right to not be perfect, and a celebration of atypicality, uniqueness, and rarity. It sends a message of inclusivity, advocating for diversity and a departure from the constraints of beauty industry standards.
Amidst the perfect digital glow,
Where influencers' faces are all aglow,
With filters that enhance, retouch, and shine,
A beauty standard that's so finely designed.
A world of perfection staged to a tee,
But what about the beauty that's meant to be,
Raw, imperfect, and truly unique,
Where individuality is not a feat.
Enter the artist with a glitchy hand,
Who's taking control of this beauty brand,
Erasing the code, reprogramming the art,
To reclaim a new sense of beauty, a new start.
The glitches they use, they're more than a script,
They erase the perfect images, the beauty myth,
And reveal a world that's not just divine,
But one that's inclusive, rare, and fine.
So come and join this revolution, this call,
To embrace the imperfect and break down the wall,
Where beauty is more than just a mirage,
And another miraculous origin takes the stage.
Beauty as a formula, as a programmed/coded paradigm, is defeated and erased. Each portrait of the series is created by downloading the photos of beauty influencers from Instagram. By the use of glitch art databending and generative scripts, the original images are erased, and with it also their programmed/standard photographic gestures and canon of beauty. Once influencers disappear from the images, what we have left are lost souls in the machine with no identity. They live in our society's short circuits and our toxic paranoiac idea of beauty because beauty is chaos.
As part of the Disordinary_Beauty gallery show, 10 works were exhibited at Galleria Biffi Arte in Piacenza. The show was produced by Fuori Visioni with the support of the Banca di Piacenza.Curated by Carolina Moncaleano, Mariangela Vitale a Carlotta Biffi. The show was presented in Italy from 5 Nov to 28 Nov. The work Unknown 24 and Unknown 25 were the two main works of the show.
This stage of the project is available on the Ethereum blockchain as NFTs.The Genesis piece is available as NFT on the secondary market at Foundation.
STAGE 02 :DISØRDINARY BƏAUTY 🥀 Conversation between AI and I
In this innovative art project, the artist engages in a thought-provoking dialogue with artificial intelligence, delving into the complex themes of beauty and ugliness, and society's cultural beauty standards. The conversations between the artist and AI delve into the concept of universal beauty, examining past and current beauty canon in society and art, and exploring the impact of AI on our perception of beauty and the creation of new canons, a new AI aesthetic. The project then also challenges the prevalent culture of perfect beauty, promoting a more inclusive approach that values diversity and chaos. Through these conversations, the artist seeks to spark reflection and stimulate discussions on the role of beauty, new media, art, and beauty in shaping our society.

This project is an exploration of the relationship between imperfection and classical beauty in art. Through the use of generative glitch scripts and glitch hack techniques (databending &/0r datamoshing), this series disrupts the traditional aesthetical canon and challenges the viewer to question the notion of perfection in art. The title, "Disordinary Beauty | art canons, or The impossibility of artistic canon perfection in the mind of a glitch artist" reflects the idea that true beauty lies in the unexpected and the imperfect and that the mind of a glitch artist is constantly pushing the boundaries of what is considered "ordinary" in art. This series is a celebration of the unknown and the unpredictable and invites the viewer to embrace the chaos and find beauty in the unexpected.
The works in this series aim at disrupting the canon notion of beauty and perfection in artistic works, and the viewers' experience. If you watch these videos you might feel there is something wrong with your screen. There is nothing wrong with your screen. It's the artwork pushing you beyond the expected, beyond the hardware format and standard. This work and the other parts of this series encourage viewers to re-define and re-think their sense of beauty, what to expect beauty to be like in a work of art, and the formats, devices, and standards designed and programmed for the experience and viewing of digital artworks.
